I have worked with the POS system in my restaurant por5 years and have had no problems with my reports have always been correct and I have in my inventory control as well as I could make a database of my clients and so we can send offers events that i have in my business has me very useful and easy to handel. so I went and purchased additional systems and going very well, the Person who sold it to me is always available for any questions I have.

KreaPOS is one of those Point of sale that's is supposed to do everything. The truth is, it does everything, and is not good at any of them.
1. Inventory: you cannot change the product code after you enter it.
2. System will freeze, crash while editing the templates for no apparent reason. You move from one field to another - while in edit mode - system crashes.
3. Data import is mediocre at best.
4. Point of sale works. It will keep track of your cash
5. If you have more than 5 users using the system regularly > I have seen user names simply vanish from the POS login screen. users cannot log in.
6. Customer support speaks spanish much better than english
7. Typo's in the user interface
8. Database lock out >if you accidently scan a UPS in the price field, system goes in an infinite loop trying to compute it. No easy way to fix that. That's one of many things users do on a regular basis.
9. Backup - backup - BACKUP - no build in backup functionality. You have to go in program files - copy the folder (try that with an average pc user)
10. No built in update functions
11. Their excuse: We have thousand of users, you are the only one who have these problems. I wonder how many of the "thousands' actually renew/upgrade their license?

Proned to too many database errors. Missing items on customer bills, constant lockups. Tech support main language seems to be spanish and slow response time for a $700. USD annual price tag. Tried the software over wireless .. problems occured with database.. changed to hardwired 10/100 ethernet and same problems occur. Ran a test lab on the software using a cross-over cable for networking between two systems and the database still seems to get damaged. You won't find these errors occuring with a new database, once the database begins to get large over a couple of months .. approximately 4 - 6 months that is when everything starts to go downhill. Bottom line, this software has serious problems with database integerity. We have the 4 user license and dare not use more than 2 workstations in order to reduce the problems associated with it's databases. Only solution left is to keep reloading the database from a backup until you can find a better solution or until you get your money's worth. At this point, forget about history and inventory etc etc.. Currently we just use it as a cash register in the meantime!
