The QB POS has a good aspect – it tracks inventory. However, it is clumsy to use because it wants to use its own item numbers. I have 12,000 sku’s and don’t have time to cross reference everthing. It is power hungry, it crashes at least once a week on new computers with no other software on them and if you expect it to integrate with QB financial (2009 or 2012) and still keep your sanity – avoid it at all costs.

Would be perfect if they offered a used bookstore version. My only issue so far is trying to figure out a way to handle the book trade in credit during the check out process.
The Quickbooks help forum is not very helpful (at least for my issue).
But for the money and for a regular retail store, I think it would be worthwhile.
