Hello, my name is Jeroen Sangers, and I am the guy behind this site. You can read a little more on why I started the Point Of Sale blog on the About POS blog page, and a little bit more about me on this page.
I was born in 1971 —I don’t display my age to prevent having to update this page every year— in Harmelen, The Netherlands, and am currently living with my wife MJ in the foggy city of Lleida, right between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea in Catalonia, Spain.
I have been intrigued by technology & computers ever since I was young and jumped on the Internet as soon as I discovered it in 1993. My first web page was simply a list of interesting sites I’ve found, and slowly I started to add features to my site. In 1997 I started posting a journal with news about my life, not knowing that five years later millions of people would have a ‘lifelog’. I still update my personal journal Brain Tags regularly, but have also started some more focused blogs like this POS blog and It’s a Small Place.
Though I have studied chemistry, I always worked in the IT sector. I have experience on Windows, UNIX and Linux platforms; worked on helpdesks, have been a network administrator and did consulting. Currently I work on the international department of a POS & business software company, where I do support, marketing and sales for 27 countries. I am also the owner of a very small web hosting company called BryteNet.
I consider the Internet and web design as my hobby. Other hobbies include walking in the mountains, listening to music, and living a good life.

I very much enjoyed reading through your blog. It’s informative and the design is user-friendly. I’m new to the blogging process and have some
questions you may be able to answer for me. Do you have an email address that I could use in correspondence with you or the person responsible for posting the blogs or managing the site?
